Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance and trend analyses, and identify and communicate key financial insights to senior management.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement an annual budget and monthly financial forecasting process.
- Maintain strong internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures. Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective controls where necessary.
- Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors during annual audits. Prepare audit schedules, gather necessary documentation, and address audit inquiries to facilitate a smooth audit process.
- Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards and advise senior management on potential impacts to the Company’s accounting processes and financial statements.
- Continuously assess accounting processes and procedures to identify opportunities for streamlining and automation. Implement improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity within the finance function.
- Prepare reconciliations of significant accounts, journal entries, and general ledger analysis to maintain the integrity of financial data. Ensure the general ledger is accurately maintained, journal entries are complete, documented and posted on a timely basis and the month end closing process is executed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Prepare and review monthly consolidated financial statements across the Company’s seven subsidiaries, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in compliance with relevant GAAP.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA preferred
- 5+ years of general accounting experience, with at least 2+ years of Senior Accountant experience
- Experience with Sage Intacct Software
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred
- Strong proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, with advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
