Senior Accountant
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute most of the month-end close process for the business unit, including the preparation of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and/or review various analyses to identify unusual activity and ensure transactions are properly accounted for, including account variance analyses, balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analyses.
- Prepare monthly commission calculations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function. Implement best practices and automation solutions to streamline workflows, increase efficiency, and enhance accuracy.
- Work with external auditors ensuring audit requests are provided in a timely manner and support the financial statements.
- Provide financial support and analysis to other functions of the business, including operations, operational finance, Shared Services, and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
- Address other ad hoc accounting items and projects as they arise, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting – CPA a plus.
- A minimum of 3 years accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proven ability to be proactive and self-starting in identifying and resolving issues, with a track record of implementing process improvements and driving efficiencies.
- Must be detail-oriented individual
- Strong Excel skills, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis tools.
- Commitment to continuous process improvement.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel. Prior experience in Eclipse a strong plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
