HR & Payroll Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage bi-weekly payroll processing, including preparing journal entries, reconciling payroll-related accounts, and approving vendor invoices.
  • Oversee compensation administration, including the calculation of bonuses and commissions.
  • Manage and administer all employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, and any additional offerings, ensuring compliance with regulations, effective communication to employees, and seamless coordination with vendors.
  • Lead the hiring process, from recruiting and interviewing to onboarding new employees.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations issues, including evaluations, disciplinary actions, grievances, and terminations.
  • Advise management on resolving employee relations concerns and ensuring lawful employment practices.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate HR policies and procedures while providing interpretation and guidance as needed.
  • Research and negotiate employee benefit programs, collaborating with brokers and vendors to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to align HR initiatives with overall company goals.
  • Drive process improvements and implement innovative HR solutions to enhance organizational efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a solid understanding of management-employee relations.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities effectively.
