Controller
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing intermediate and advanced level accounting, management reporting, and financial tasks.
- Carry out duties by adhering to the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct, act in the best interest of the company, and fully support the mission, vision, and values.
- Develop knowledge of health care billing and accounting and ability to interact, relate to, work with, and support the activities of a diverse workforce.
- Supervise one accountant and one staff accountant (offshore)
- Accrual accounting up to date with analysis
- Improve documentation, internal controls and SOP’s to professional level
- Provide analysis to the CFO
- Serves as key contact for staff and external contacts
- Supervise state and federal taxes
- Prepare year end schedules for review and other regulatory agencies
- Reconcile monthly financial reports
- Train new finance staff members
- Attend finance and staff meetings
- Complete the Accountant’s duties due to absence or vacation
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Prefer 3 years of public accounting experience
- Prefer 5 years of accounting experience in a health care environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
