Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all accounting procedures related to month end close process, such us accruals, journal entry preparation, variance analysis. Provides operational support with capital equipment authorization, asset management and inventory control (cycle count process).
  • Prepare monthly and annual operating budgets.
  • Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
  • Analyze and communicate financial metrics to senior management.
  • Ensures cash transactions are reported timely and accurately, cash balances are up to date at end of each business day
  • Prepare a weekly management dashboard report, includes sales and sales backlog, purchases and purchase order backlog, cash balance, receivable balance, AP & purchase receipt balance, headcount and payroll costs
  • Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable personnel.
  • Responsible for timely collection of receivable invoices
  • Responsible for timely payments of vendor invoices, special attention to critical vendors, loans, utilities, rent, etc.
  • Weekly posting of manufacturing journals
  • Weekly review and tie out of sub-ledgers to general ledger, including raw and finished goods inventory, WIP, purchase receipts accrual, accounts payable ageing, accounts receivable ageing
  • Cash book is updated daily, bank reconciliations are completed on a timely manner prior to month end close.
  • Manage the preparation of payroll for personnel.
  • Manage and control costs of all manufacturing, material and labor expenses.
  • Help set prices for labor and material; and determine inventory valuation.
  • Measure actual performance against target costs, profit and productions and determine whether they are being achieved.
  • Assures policies are being followed in accordance with SOX, GAAP and Corporate Policy.
  • All balance sheet accounts are reconciled, analyzed and adjusted for proper reporting of Asset / Liability
  • All sub-ledgers (Cash Book, AR Ageing, AP Ageing, Inventory, WIP) are tied out to GL Balance
  • Recommends improvements and helps guide the plant / supply chain through change while positively influencing others.
  • Prepares and analyzes financial reports including providing financial information for all plant departments.
  • Engages operation team during audit function to assure policies are being followed; recommends improvements and drive changes.
  • Preparation and verification of shipment and production reports to ensure integrity of overall production volume and cost reporting.
  • Establishes plant production standards and department budgets with input from respective department managers to reflect production volume, growth forecasts and consolidation of budgets for entire company.
  • Daily review with planning on closed work orders, for proper recording of labor hours and material issues
  • Daily, weekly and monthly preparation and review of labor reports and assists department managers in labor costs planning and control.
  • Ensures and supports correct product costing and reviews the costing related inputs in finance database periodically.
  • Assesses business risk exposure and defines risk mitigation strategies to reduce impact on business performance in own area of responsibility. Should be able to optimize value chain including distribution center to reduce risk.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 10+ years of experience in accounting
  • Experience with operational and cost accounting
  • Knowledgeable about financial & operational reporting, process improvement and inventory
  • Great communication skills
