This position acts as an assistant to the CFO, preparing financial and accounting reports, filing sales tax reports, maintaining fixed asset ledgers, and providing backup to other members of the accounting and human resource staff.
Reports To Chief Financial Officer
·Prepares financial statements including balance sheets, profit, loss and other accounting reports.
·Reviews and analyzes general ledger account balances for accuracy.
·Prepares monthly reconciliation reports for bank statements.
·Responsible for filing of monthly sales and use tax reports.
·Extensive amount of administrative duties.
·Provides guidance to employees for general accounting matters.
·Assists in organizing policies and procedures for general accounting and Human Resources.
·Provides guidance to and back up for payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and human resource functions.
·Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
·Confidentiality, tact and discretion when working with people.
·Working knowledge of construction accounting, payroll taxes and sales & use taxes.
·Detail-oriented, conscientious and analytical.
·Work well within a team environment.
·2+ years experience of progressively responsible accounting positions.
·Proficient in Excel, Word and ERP systems.
·Bachelor's degree in business or accounting.
·Human resource and ADP payroll knowledge a plus.
